“There Is More To Life Than Increasing Its Speed”
Life is only on track, you cannot fast forward nor rewind, I do believe you can learn from the past and if we admit that we are prone to making mistakes and willing to make corrections, there is more to life in the slow lane. We must slow to savour the present and I have learnt to slow down by engaging with the realities in my life and be able to accept that many questions will be unanswered.
If you are extremely hard on yourself as I have been in the past or ignore the realities of taking care of yourself and attending to your personal needs, including physical and emotional, you increased the speed of life.
Part of my routine now is to take time not just to pray but to let down all the pressures of life and do nothing but relax. I am determined to take time to enjoy life regardless of its realistic hardship and uncertainty. Life whether we like it or not will present hardship, ignorance of the people and world around us, statements would be made that are injurious and risky to our well being People will slander and label us, it’s part of my experience I am willing to acknowledge, but yet I am not deterred, but to note that there is more to life.
Increasing the speed of life leads to major complications, frustration, health and relationship will become the casualty of the mad race.

Message for 2010: Happy New Year
Message for 2010.
Happy New Year, I am Reverend Rowland Jide Macaulay, the Pastor of House Of Rainbow Metropolitan Community Church, Lagos Nigeria.
I want to welcome you to the year two thousand and ten (2010). It is indeed a privilege and honour to see the beginning of this year, as with many humble beginnings we are grateful and continue to trust the almighty God for the fulfilment of the many promises of liberations, peace, joy and happiness for all people, including sexual minorities namely Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender and Intersex people of all faith and all nations.
As a minister of the gospel ordained and licensed by the Universal Fellowship of the Metropolitan Community Church, it is my sincere hope that many would come to acknowledge the ineffable love of God through our humanity, religiosity and spiritual obligations.
House Of Rainbow’s mission is a commitment to basic Christian Gospel, that the love of God is freely available to all people, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
As a mission we recognise the oppression caused through racism, sexism, hatred, homophobia, transphobia and other forms of prejudice, both within and outside the Christian faith.
We therefore seek to share healing with all people so affected, through prayers, education, peace, spiritual development and reconciliation.
House Of Rainbow is on a bold mission to transform hearts, lives, and history. We are a movement that faithfully proclaims God’s inclusive love for all people and proudly bears witness to the holy integration of spirituality and sexuality.
We pray and hope you will find your place in the Christian church and come back to Jesus Christ.
In our effort through the ‘Holy Spirit’ we continue to promote an inclusive gospel ministry of Jesus Christ, for all children of God, regardless of age, gender, race, tribe, language, marital status, employment status, ability, disability, health, sexual orientation, and many more.
